Cookie policy.

What cookies the Actorly website sets, what each is for, how long it lasts and how to control it. The short version: the website sets no cookie for visitors.

Effective 2026-10-13. This policy covers the website at actorlyai.com. It works alongside the privacy policy.

Contents 10 sections

1What this policy covers

1.1This policy is about the Actorly website at actorlyai.com, run by ONDUTYOPS LLC. It is not about the Actorly app, which runs inside the Shopify admin. Section 6 says what applies there.

1.2A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, are covered here too.

2The short version

2.1If you visit the website and do not sign in as one of our editors, it sets no cookie in your browser.

2.2The website uses no analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no session replay and no social media plugins. It does not use local storage or session storage in your browser.

2.3Because of that, the website shows no cookie banner. There is nothing to accept, and no choice to record.

3The one cookie we set

3.1The website has a private editing area for our own staff, who write the blog and the changelog. When an editor signs in with an emailed link, the website sets one cookie.

CookiePurposeLastsCategory
act_admin_sessionKeeps an editor signed in to the editing area. It holds a random sign-in token, and the website stores only a hash of that token. It holds no name, no email address and no tracking identifier.8 hours, or until the editor signs outStrictly necessary

3.2The cookie is marked HttpOnly, so scripts in the page cannot read it, Secure, so it is sent only over HTTPS, and SameSite=Lax, so other websites cannot make your browser send it in most cross-site requests.

3.3A visitor who is not signed in as an editor never receives this cookie, and it is not used to follow anyone around the website.

4Why we need no consent for it

4.1The cookie is strictly necessary for a service an editor has asked for, which is to stay signed in. Privacy laws such as the ePrivacy rules in Europe and the UK do not require consent for a cookie of that kind, so we do not ask for it. We still list it here so that you can see it.

5What our host does

5.1The website is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare handles each request, including the visitor's IP address, and may keep technical logs under its own terms. That is a service log and not a cookie, and we do not use it to profile visitors. The subprocessors page lists Cloudflare.

6The Actorly app inside Shopify

6.1The Actorly app runs embedded in the Shopify admin, under Shopify's session model. Shopify provides and manages the session and any cookie it needs there, under Shopify's own policies. Actorly adds no cookie, script, theme code or pixel to your store's storefront, so shoppers load nothing from Actorly.

6.2How the app handles personal data is described in the privacy policy, in the section on cookies and website analytics, and in the section on what we collect.

7How to control cookies

7.1You can see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. The help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge say how.

7.2Blocking or deleting act_admin_session has one effect: an editor is signed out and must sign in again. Nothing changes for a visitor.

7.3Browsers can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. The website does not track visitors, so it behaves the same whether or not your browser sends one.

8Third-party cookies

8.1The website loads no third-party scripts, fonts or images that set cookies. Its fonts and scripts are served from actorlyai.com itself. The links to Shopify, to the Shopify App Store and to Cloudflare's pages lead to other websites, which have their own cookie policies. We do not control them.

9Changes to this policy

9.1We will post changes on this page with a new effective date. If the website ever starts to use a cookie or a similar technology other than the one above, we will update this page, and ask for consent where the law requires it, before the change goes live. This policy takes effect on 2026-10-13.
